After 15 years of continuous harmony, I am going to be taking a sabbatical from ZChoir for awhile. The entire Peace Train community mourns the passing of our dear Nonhlanha Wanda (center, above) who passed away at her home in Durban, SA on Jan 5, 2023. She was an inspiration to us all and a guiding light for so many of the children who she mentored and taught. This photo is from when our NorCal inter-generational group went on The Peace Train Transcending Barriers Tour July 2018 with Sharon Katz & The Peace Train Band in San Diego and Tijuana. We crossed the border to work with our partners from Promotora de las Bellas Artes in Tijuana and made new friends with over 100 children and their families and teachers. It was amazing. IN 2021, WE DID IT AGAIN, THIS TIME WITH A TRAIN RIDE AND PERFORMANCES IN TECATE & TIJUANA. GET ON THE PEACE TRAIN!
